We are in Japan!

Yes, we are in Japan for a month and a half on a survey/ deputation trip. We had a great Sunday this past Sunday, and April almost got to lead a lady, Mrs. Oiro, to the Lord. Please pray for her as she is very close, but just needs to understand a little more. She started coming to church a couple of weeks ago, and her and her husband had never seen a Bible or heard of Jesus before. They are loving coming to church and we are praying they will get saved soon.
It is great to be in Japan, the land God has called us too. We will be here from Dec 2nd to Jan. 15th. Then we will return to the States for deputation. Please pray as Michael continues to call for meetings next year. We would like to have a full schedule and get out to Japan by Spring of 2011. Thank you for all your prayers.

A Busy Fall.

We have had a very busy month and a half. Since the middle of September we have traveled over 8,000 miles to 18 different churches. We were involved in 8 missions conferences and saw many decisions made. We were able to lead one girl to the Lord, which made all of the traveling worth while. We are at 42% of our support now, and have a couple of churches that may take us on at the beginnning of next year. We are praying that we will be at 50% very soon. Abigail is a great blessing to us as we travel to churches. Many people come up and talk to us because of her. We are so thankful she is such a great traveler. She is such a blessing from our Lord. We are excited as we begin to prepare to go to Japan on a survey trip this December. We will be leaving for Japan on December 2 and will return to the States on January 15th. We will be visiting 4 churhces and will be participating in a Christmas concert. Please pray that we will get to lead some Japanese to the Lord while we are in Japan. When we return from Japan we will be continuing our deputation. Please pray Michael can book many meetings for next year. Thank you everyone who prayed for our safety these last months. God truly watched over us, and we did not have one break down or difficulty in our many miles of travel.

A Busy Fall

We are keeping very busy this fall with many meetings. We have traveled over 3,000 miles this past month and will be traveling many more miles before the year is up. We have had some good meetings and got to lead a little girl to the Lord recently. It was very encouraging and worth every mile we have gone. Support is coming in slow but sure. We are at 38% of our support. Have had some churches say they will be taking us on recently, but have not voted yet. Please pray for us as we have many miles to drive, and so that our support will be over 50% by Christmas. Abigail is growing up before our eyes. Her favorite thing to do now is to color. Her newest word is "water". She loves to sing the BIBLE. She is our little missionary. :-) We are so thankful for her.
We will be in Fl, Tn, In, Ky, Ks, Nc,and Sc the next couple of months. Praying that God will bring in our support quickly as we visit many churches.

A Wonderful week of meetings.

Abigail has been a great help to us on deputation. She waves at everybody. She loves reaching her hands out to everybody and she is our little missionary. She catches people's attention very quickly. She made many friends this last week at Family week with World Wide New Testament Baptist Mission.
This last week of meetings with World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions was wonderful. We feel so refreshed as we heard many wonderful messages and beautiful music. We are so blessed to be a part of our mission. The stand they take is doctrinally sound and they are extremely local church minded. So thankful for their approach to missions. We also were able to visit another missions conference, pastor's fellowship, and two different meetings on Sunday. The week started in North Carolina and ended with a meeting in Virginia. The church in Virginia took us on for support right after we shared our burden for Japan. We were so excited. April could not help but cry for joy. The last couple of weeks we have had 3 churches take us on, and we are at 37% of our support now.
Please keep praying that our support will come in quickly so we can get to Japan soon so Michael can start language school and so we can help Pastor and Mrs. Rich with Faith Baptist Church.

Great Meetings.:-)

The last two Sunday meetings have been great. Last Sunday we were very encouraged as the church took us on for support right after Michael preached. Then Wednesday we received a phone call from another church saying they took us on for support. Today, we had a great meeting and many decisions were made after Michael preached. The pastor said that they probably would take us on for support at the end of July.depending how their faith promise comes in at the end of the month. So thankful for these great meetings. The Lord is working and we are at 36% now. We know God has a plan and His perfect timing in getting us to Japan.
Please pray we will continue to get our support in quickly and that we will get to Japan as soon as possible.

Fruit for the harvest

Sunday Evening a young girl named Jessie Norris accepted Christ as her Savior. She knew she was not saved and was convicted so she talked to the pastors wife at the end of the service. Praise the Lord! Also another young man in 9th grade talked to me afterward about his desire to become a missionary to Japan. Lord willing he will be coming on a missions trip to Japan sometime this year. Please pray for these that the Lord will guide and direct in the days ahead.

Abigail is growing by leaps and bounds and probably will start walking very soon. She is our precious bundle and we praise the Lord for her.

Announcement! Announcement!

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE AT 3O% OF OUR SUPPORT NOW!

Out in the boondocks

We have been very busy this past week and a half in New York and Pennsylvania. We have been in 5 churches on this trip. The missions conference in Pennsylvania went well and was a very busy but fun time. We got to meet new and old friends that we know will pray for us in the future. We pray that some of these churches will take us on for support. We really enjoyed the beauty of God's great nature in these two beautiful states. We were able to hike a little at a national park and thought it very interesting that one of the churches we visited was so far in the boondocks that there was only one stop light in the whole county, the local gym was in a house , and the nearest walmart was almost 50 miles away. The people on the other hand were some of the nicest people we ever met. We praise the Lord for all the neat experiences he has given us, and for the many decisions we have seen made in these last few meetings.

Missions Conference at First Baptist Church in Watoka, Tennessee

Add Image
The missions conference at First Baptist Church in Atoka, TN went very well. We enjoyed getting to share our ministry as well as being encouraged by the other missionaries and the church people. We had many who said they would pray for us, and the pastor mentioned that he would like to take us on for support. We are so thankful for the Berryhill family who had us stay at their home.

A Busy Sunday.

This morning we shared our burden for Japan at Antrim Baptist Church in Byron, Michigan. The meeting went well, and several made decisions after Michael preached. Afterward the pastor said that their church should be able to take us on for support at the end of the year when they vote their new missionaries in. Please pray that they will take us on as their missionaries. We are now in the car traveling to Manton, Michigan, about a four hour trip from Bryron. Tonight we will be presenting our burden for Japan at Manton Baptist church. Please pray this will go well also. Tonight we will be traveling to Detroit, Michigan after the service, so that we can fly out to Tenessee early tomorrow morning for a missions conference. We are so thankful for the meetings the Lord is giving us. Please keep praying that we will have the strength we need to do a good job at each of these meetings, and that the Lord will be glorified.
